Clean and Simple Challenge

Yesterday's Clean and Simple Challenge (CAS) on splitcoast was to use a little bit of ribbon on your card. I decided I wanted to use ribbon as a flower stem. When I saw my Say It with Scallop set on the stable, I decided to use the Hi stamp with the lollipop flowers. This stamp set is a fundrasier set for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Two dollars will be donated to RMHC for each set sold.

I love these colors together - they really pop on the white base and seem so fresh and spring-y. I used the Hostess set of Designer Series paper in the Rose color. The flowers are popped on dimensionals.

Q: What size circles does the Circle Cutter cut?

A: The Circle Scissor Plus cuts and draws circles from 1-6 inches.

Spring Stamp A Stack Cards

Here are a couple of the cards participants made at my recent Spring Stamp A Stack. Stamp A Stacks are a great way to fill your card box! The cards are predesigned, supplies are precut, you simply stamp and assemble. It's perfect for any skill level. I hope to see you at my next event!

 

2, 4, 6, 8 Box

These cute little boxes are super easy to put together. This was the 3-D project my hostess club created at last week's meeting. It was created with a 1/2 sheet of cardstock. I used a tutorial by Amy Rysavy that can be found on her blog: 2,4,6,8 Box

Decor Elements Projects

Artisan Award Winners for April Every year, Stampin' Up! recognizes 10 demonstrators for their creative abilities through the Artisan Award. The winners of this competition always amaze us with their incredible abilities--and we want to share that inspiration! Throughout the year, we'll be giving our 10 Artisan Award Winners different challenges, and then we'll post the projects that they come up with here. This month's challenge showcases Eclectic Circles from our Décor Elements product line. We asked our winners to create a project using this element. Here are 2 of the submissions:

Scalloped Circle Card

I have a thing for circles. Circle shaped cards are typically expensive and making your own can be tedious with a template. Using Big Shot dies are an easy way to create your own perfect circle cards. These even fit into regular A2/invitation sized envelopes. I used the Scallop Circle die. The trick is to create your regular folded card base first, then place it on the die keeping one edge to the inside of the scallops. I also adhered the Candy Lane paper to the card base before die cutting it to get a perfect match.

 

Supplies: It's Your Day stamp set, Candy Lane Designer Paper, Pink Taffeta Ribbon, 1 1/4" circle punch, Scallop punch, Circle scallop Sizzix die, Big Shot, Very Vanilla and Close to Cocoa cardstock, Pretty in Pink and Close to Cocoa markers.

Quick Mickey

One of my nephew's recently celebrated his 2nd birthday with a Mickey Mouse theme. I put this simple card together in just a few minutes. It was quick and easy thanks to the use of punches. The card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and fits in a regular A2/invitation sized envelope.

 

Supplies: Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock. 1 3/8" and 3/4" circle punches.
